Much to Chris Christie’s chagrin, it looks like we might not have seen the end of Vinny Guadagnino.
The “Jersey Shore” star recently told TMZ that he is seriously considering attending law school and pursuing a political career now that the show which made him a household name has finally come to an end. He had previously commented that he was considering law school after the show ended.
“I would never want to get into law, I want to get into politics,” Guadagnino told the TMZ reporter. “So I was going to go to law school to be involved in politics.”
“I know it sounds weird, stumbling coming out of a club, but I actually have a brain.”
Unlike several of the other cast members, Guadagnino could actually be successful in the pursuit of his dream. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from CUNY College of Staten Island, completing his degree in just 3 and a half years. Guadagnino also interned for a New York State Assemblyman while in school and took the LSATs before signing onto the show.
“My [LSAT] score was decent,” Guadagnino told US Weekly in 2010. “I had a plan that if my score was really well [sic], then I might of just went to Yale or Harvard… But it was just mediocre.”
“I had a 3.9 GPA, Latin Honors, but I’m doing this right now. Law school is always on the back burner.”
It is unknown, however, where Guadagnino would enter politics should he go through with his plan. He is a native New Yorker and already has experience in local politics there. However, New Jersey is, of course, the state that launched his career.
