‘Duck Dynasty’ family praying for Miley Cyrus’ family post-VMA performance

Like much of America, the Robertson family is concerned about former Disney star Miley Cyrus following her raunchy MTV Video Music Awards performance earlier this month. So much so, in fact, that they’re even praying for her and her family as a result of it.

“My family has been praying for her (Miley Cyrus’) family,” Sadie Robertson, the eldest daughter of Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson, told Fox 411′s Diana Falcone Tuesday. ”We feel very bad for her because we know how entertainment can get wrapped up in your head. We try to stay strong as a family. We just pray that their family comes back together.”

Willie, Sadie and the rest of the “Duck Dynasty” clan were in New York City to take part in New York Fashion Week. Sadie had teamed up with designer Sherri Hill to create a line of “daddy approved” prom dresses for high school students, when they began discussing the “twerking” superstar.

After all, the “Boss Hog” – as Willie likes to refer to himself as – understands the pressure of raising children in the world of the public eye. The Season 4 premiere of the family’s A&E reality show, which focuses on the daily lives of the backwoods Louisiana millionaires, was watched by 11.8 million Americans – making it the most-watched non-fictional cable TV show of all time.

“It’s tough. You know, the whole world is different now, so everyone knows who you are,” Robertson told Fox 411. “It wasn’t the way we were raised because we were raised really poor so nobody knew who we were. We’ll put it in the Lord’s hands so we’ll see what happens.”

Fortunately for him, it doesn’t appear that his daughter will be following in the former “Hannah Montana’s” footsteps any time soon – at least when it comes to twerking.

“I would never twerk in public,” Sadie said. “It is not modest to me but for the girls out there that do, it’s their decision.”
