Piers Morgan doesn’t think that blind Americans should have the same rights as other people when it comes to owning and shooting firearms.
The CNN host sparked a fiery Twitter debate Thursday when he attacked conservative radio host Ben Ferguson over Iowa’s decision to grant legally blind Americans gun permits. The debate quickly escalated when Piers’ favorite conservative darling, talk show host Dana Loesch, got involved in the fight.
Although he is a British citizen, Morgan has been one of the most outspoken pundits when it comes to the need for additional gun control laws in the United States. He has done everything from claim that gun advocates make him “sick” to berating gun rights advocates on his primetime show. Most recently the expat used the death of Australian college student Christopher Lane in Oklahoma last month to promote his anti-gun rhetoric.
In fact, his actions infuriated so many Americans that a White House petition to deport him back to his native England was signed by nearly 110,000 people and received an official response by White House Press Secretary Jay Carney.
