Comedy website Funny or Die has reminded us once again why President Obama’s Affordable Care Act is doomed to be a failure – through its own failure of a promo spot.
In the second of its sure-to-be-many videos promoting Obamacare, “Everybody Fails,” the website tries to explain why it’s important that everyone, including cats, has access to quality healthcare – so that if people decide to start partaking in competitive skateboarding or jumping off bike ramps, they’re covered.
Unfortunately for Funny or Die, the web video does little more than make the viewer question whether the site is promoting Obamacare, or just trying to put together a shoddy blooper reel for “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”
Funny or Die also released on Monday an Obamacare promo ad featuring singer and actress Jennifer Hudson that was loosely based on the hit ABC drama “Scandal.”
Although the law doesn’t go into effect until January 1, Americans interested in enrolling in its signature healthcare exchanges can theoretically begin to do so on Tuesday – so long as they weren’t counting on using a federal government website to sign up, as they’re all down as a result of the government shutdown.
