Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney can definitely groove with the best of them, as he proved during an impromptu “Gangnam Style” dance breakout during a youth conference for Mormon students in Arizona this past weekend.
After speaking before the college-aged crowd, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee was taught how to dance “Gangnam Style” by performer Alex Boye, who tweeted the following about his once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Interestingly enough, Romney wasn’t half-bad at the routine for someone who was learning it as he went along.
This isn’t the first time a “Mitt Romney” performed Psy’s infamous dance track. College Humor launched a hilarious animated parody video of the then-presidential candidate dancing to the tune in October of 2012.
Nor is he the first politician to publicly break out to to the track. Former Wyoming Sen. Alan Simpson used the dance as part of a YouTube video to draw attention to then-fiscal cliff crisis, and while not actually dancing to it President Barack Obama admitted during a joint press conference with South Korean President Park Geun-hye in May 2013 that his teenage daughters have taught him a “pretty good Gangnam Style.”
